The fuel pump seems to work fine, wiring harness connection was confusing. Letters on the instructions /diagram does not match the letters on the wiring harness. 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix

The fuel pump / sending unit is great. Looks just like the genuine gm part that came out of it. I have had no problems and will buy parts from here again and tell the people I know that AM Parts is the place to order from for auto parts. The only small problem I had was the wiring diagram for the plug was incorrect but easily rectified.

I have not installed it yet but when I do I can let you know

Unit was a direct fit & was delivered in a timely manner. Not comfortable with the changing of the connection. No room for error & not much wire to work with from original connector. Easy to follow instructions for change of connector. If it doesn't work out or fails down the line, you cannot go back to oem pump because now the plug connector is different. Would have to get a similar pump with the same connection if possible.

First I was doubtful ordering a part $200 cheaper than local Auto store and wondering if it would even fit and in my surprise everything was perfect

I had replaced my faulty, old, original fuel pump with the pump I purchased on this site about a month ago, and it was a pretty easy job to replace it myself! (I'm NOT a mechanic) It was a perfect fit, and has been working just fine so far!! I recommend that if you are a do-it-yourself-er, watch a few of the videos on you-tube .com, simply look up Buick fuel-pump replacement, a bunch of good videos are there for many different makes and year models of Buicks, and they will help walk you through the replacement process very easily! The fuel-pump arrived at my door about five days after ordering it! In the box was the fuel-pump/sending-unit, a new float assembly (not attached), a new rubber gasket, a wire harness (may be needed for some models but I did NOT need it for my Buick), and four wire connectors! You will need to keep and re-use the small hose connectors that are on your old fuel-pump's lines, but you can easily remove them after you remove the pump from the tank! I chose to use the original gasket from the old fuel-pump, simply because after a few test fits, the old gasket seemed to fit the tank better than the new gasket! I will say that it is pretty tough to get the old pump out through the access hole and to get the new one in through the hole in the trunk floor, but after a bunch of twisting and careful tugging or pushing, it will eventually fit and slide down or up through the access panel hole! It was also a little tough to get the old locking ring to lock back into place due to not enough space to work in and some rust on the bottom side of the ring! Having the new fuel pump in the vehicle now, for about a month, I notice that I'm not getting as good gas-mileage as I used to, just slightly, but this is probably because the old one wasn't pumping properly for quite some time! My gas gauge never worked before the pump went bad, but the new one took care of that problem as-well! Other than that, this pump is great! It saved me a bunch of money, it seemed to be just as sturdy as the original and very well made! You would never know the difference between an OEM pump or this After Market pump! Great Product at a great price, with fast and free shipping to your front door! I've bought two of these, one as backup. I've had the first one installed for a little over year. No problems yet. Extremely good price, plus a 10 year warranty on top of it - can't be beat.

The fuel pump very well and I am happy with it. It was delivered in a timely fashion and installed soon after.

Product is excellent quality. No complaints on how it is built. Has no directions, which was no issue but could be for some one in a hurry or limited mechanical ability. Video makes it easier than what it is to replace. Followed steps in video and it helped. Definitely do outdoors on cement or gravel. One line had pressure on it, but eventually got bled down with some spilling. Had to take break let gas evaporate. Removing metal tab was a challenge ended up drilling out, filing and wire wheeling metal locking ring. Have some rags on hand along with some disposable gloves. Works as it should would by again.
